Scholarship Overview

This program is designed to accelerate young physicians' desired career path in the healthcare industry through exposure to world-class education and mentorship. Living expenses, tuition, and airfare are all covered for the next two years as you embark on a journey to improve your leadership skills and acquire new healthcare knowledge. The program consists of 6 months in Taiwan and 1.5 years abroad in the United States (e.g., Stanford Unversity, Duke University). Physicians who have graduated from a Taiwan medical school are eligible to apply for this opportunity.

This scholarship is run out of the Koo Foundation Sun Yat-Sen Cancer Center with support from the Andrew T. Huang Medical Education Promotion Fund.

Master Clinician Track

Learn from master clinicians from Duke University as you provide superior patient care, learn to foster a collaborative culture, and study healthcare settings for identifying innovative solutions to address new and old problems.

Health Policy Track

Obtain a Masters in Health Policy from Stanford University and develop the skills to conduct and interpret research. Concentrations include clinical decision making, empirical methods, health policy, and implementation science.

Clinical Research Track

Obtain an MS in Clinical Research & Epidemiology from Stanford University and learn to become a clinical investigator with skills essential to patient-oriented research, including epidemiologic methods and statistical analysis.
